The short answer
What is the Secta Women's League?
A football league for women's teams from London companies, open to every level, from regular players to complete beginners. Season one ran on Wednesday nights in Shoreditch in autumn 2024, with six teams over five matchweeks, and VCCP took the title. Secta runs the pitches, referees and table, and films every week.

It launched as the first ever women's football league for companies: a competition built for women in London workplaces, not a mixed league with a few women in it.
Season one ran through autumn 2024: VCCP, Ogilvy UK, Savills, Squire Patton Boggs, Dewynters and OMD UK, over five Wednesday nights in Shoreditch. It went to the last week, when VCCP came from behind to draw with Squire Patton Boggs and clinch the title.
How far people travelled says it worked. Savills had players coming in from Cambridge, Manchester and Reading just to make a Wednesday night.
