Team building / the City of London

Team Building in the City of London

For the Square Mile's firms: football against the companies you compete with, and padel for teams who would rather hold a racket. Minutes from the office.

Two players battling for the ball under floodlights, the camera panning with them so the pitch and crowd streak into motion blur.

The short answer

What team building can City firms do near the office?

Secta's league venue at Aldgate sits on the eastern edge of the City, a short walk from Liverpool Street, Bank and Tower Hill. City firms play football friendlies against other companies, enter weekly industry leagues and one-day tournaments, or book padel coaching for the team, all without crossing London after work.

The City is full of firms that compete for the same deals, clients and graduates: banks, insurers, law firms, asset managers and the advisors around them. Secta's leagues are built for exactly that, putting rival firms on the same pitch every week.

Because the Aldgate venue is on the City's doorstep, a team can leave the office at six and be playing by half past.
