The short answer
What is the London Finance & Fintech Football League?
A new weekly football league for London's finance and fintech companies, run by Secta: banks, fintechs, funds, insurers and payments firms. Teams play a season of refereed fixtures against each other, closing with a finals night, and every game is filmed. The first season is being put together now.

London's finance and fintech world is small enough that everyone knows a name at every other firm, and big enough that you rarely see them outside a conference. A weekly league changes that: the same faces every week, a table that matters, and a finals night the whole office hears about.
From Canary Wharf to Shoreditch, fintechs and the banks they are trying to beat can finally settle it on a pitch. Teams that register interest now become the founding teams and help us choose the night and the venue.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Who can enter the London Finance & Fintech Football League?
Teams from London fintechs, banks, investment firms, funds, insurers and payments companies. Scale-ups and big institutions play in the same league.
When does the first season start?
It is not scheduled yet. Teams that register interest now become the founding teams and help us pick the night and the venue.
Where will it be played?
Somewhere that suits the founding teams, most likely between the City, Shoreditch and Canary Wharf, where most of London's finance and fintech companies are.
Do we need experienced players?
No. These are mixed-ability leagues and most teams play for the social side as much as the football. Games are properly refereed so they stay competitive without getting silly.
What does it cost?
Entry is priced per team, per season, and covers the pitch, referees, league management and filming. We will confirm the price with the founding teams before anyone commits.
Is it filmed?
Yes. Every game is filmed with highlights and a Player of the Match, so the whole company can follow the team, not just the players.
