The short answer

What team building does Secta run in Manchester?

Secta is launching company football in Manchester with two new leagues taking founding members: the Manchester Business League for companies from any industry and the Manchester Property League. Friendlies, one-day tournaments and padel coaching, tournaments and leagues are open for interest, so tell us what your team wants first.

Financial and professional services alone support almost 60,000 jobs in the city of Manchester, from the law firms and banks of Spinningfields to the BBC and ITV at MediaCity. It is our second city, and the first leagues are being put together now.

The companies that come in first become the founding members: they help pick the night, the venue and the format, and their names go on the page as the teams that started it.

Questions

Team Building in Manchester: FAQs

Which Manchester leagues are open?

The Manchester Business League, for companies from any industry, and the Manchester Property League are both taking founding members now.

Where can Manchester companies play 5-a-side after work?

Powerleague Manchester Central in Ardwick is the nearest big centre to Piccadilly. Trinity Sports Centre in Hulme and Sugden Sports Centre are both within 20 minutes of Oxford Road, Goals Manchester is by the Queens Road tram stop, and Ordsall Leisure Centre is closest to MediaCity. Secta can book the pitch for your team.

Where can we play padel in Manchester as a team?

Carbon Padel Club in West Gorton, Pure Padel in Cheetham Hill and The Padel Club at TraffordCity all have six or more courts, so a whole team can play at once. The Pollen Club on Blackfriars Street is the most central.

Where will Manchester games be played?

At a central venue agreed with the founding teams before the first season.

What happens when we register interest for Manchester?

We note your company, the offer and roughly how many players. When Manchester has enough interest for a venue, you hear first and help choose the night and the format. Registering commits you to nothing.

Can you run a one-off event for us sooner?

Possibly. Tell us what you have in mind, your numbers and your date, and we will tell you honestly whether we can run it.
