What is the Manchester Business League?
A new weekly football league for Manchester companies from any industry, run by Secta. Your company plays a season of refereed fixtures against other Manchester businesses, closing with a finals night, and every game is filmed for the whole company to follow. The founding members agree the night, the venue and the format.

Manchester's business community is close enough that everyone knows someone at every other firm, and busy enough that you rarely see them outside a meeting. The Manchester Business League changes that: a weekly league for companies from every sector, from Spinningfields to MediaCity.
Secta runs company leagues in London for property, creative and tech firms. This is our first league in Manchester, and the companies that come in now are its founding members.

Questions, answered
Who can enter the Manchester Business League?
Teams from Manchester companies in any industry, from city-centre firms to Salford and MediaCity.
When does the first season start?
It is not scheduled yet. Companies that register now become the founding members and help us pick the night and the venue.
Where will it be played?
Somewhere central that suits the founding teams. We will agree the venue with them before the first season.
Do we need experienced players?
No. These are mixed-ability leagues and most teams play for the social side as much as the football. Every game is refereed so it stays competitive without getting silly.
Is it filmed?
Yes. Games are filmed with highlights and a Player of the Match, so the whole company can follow the team, not just the players.
