London Property League Season 7, Week 1: 65 Goals in Five Games
We are so back
Season 7 of the London Property League kicked off on Tuesday 20 October under the floodlights at Aldgate. Eleven firms, 55 games, and on the first night 65 goals in five games.
Winckworth Sherwood 0-9 Cushman & Wakefield
Cushwake opened with nine and a clean sheet, Tom Bremner helping himself to four. A tough start for Winckworth Sherwood, but fear not: it is a long season.
Devonshires 4-17 Montagu Evans
Twenty-one goals in 40 minutes. Montagu Evans had six different scorers, led by Prince Nyarko with five. Devonshires never stopped going and found the net four times.
Stace 2-2 Newmark
The tightest game of the night. Adam Bouharrat got Newmark going and Benji Dryer struck a last-minute equaliser for Stace. Honours even, or as we say in property, a joint venture.
Greystar 13-5 JLL
Fergus Hawes scored six to go top of the Golden Boot, with a hat-trick from Nicholas Hurn too. JLL kept swinging and scored five of their own.
Gardiner & Theobald 11-2 Workman
The champions picked up where they left off, with Luca Savoia and James Matthew scoring five each. Welcome to the league, Workman, and big up Kai and Daniel for getting on the scoresheet. Theoretically, it should get easier from here.
The table after week one
Montagu Evans top the table on goal difference, with Gardiner & Theobald, Cushman & Wakefield and Greystar also on three points. Spring Building Consultancy had the week off and join us next Tuesday.
Until next time, viva la Secta.
